Stockholm is pretty awesome during the summer. You should come and visit. To convince you, we have created this very personal guide to our favorite places in the city. You’ll find some good breakfast cafes, restaurants, health food stores and other gems. It is not a full Stockholm guide. Instead we have focused on the part of the city where we live – Södermalm. It is the most charming area filled with small cafes, independent shops and vintage stores.

We wrote this guide after having travelled six months in the US and Asia together with our daughter Elsa, who only was six months when we boarded our first plane. Since then, we have explored South Africa, Morocco, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka with our other kids and have learned a few tricks how to keep them happy, calm and safe. 

We got married on a beautiful but cold November day in a stunning greenhouse in Rosendal’s Garden in Stockholm, surrounded by our closest family and friends (+ ALL their kids) and accompanied by live jazz music and gorgeous food. Even though I proposed to Luise in the back of a campervan on New Zealand almost three years ago, we pulled this wedding together – from idea to ”I do” – in less than five weeks.
